I first became interested in photography when my husband purchased a "fancy" camera for me for my birthday in advance of a then upcoming trip to Africa on safari. Neither of us knew anything about cameras, but fortunately, the salesperson recommended a telephoto lens. When I captured my first photo of a leopard up in a tree with no branches against a beautiful blue sky on the first day of our safari with my new camera (that I still did not really know how to use), that was it. I was hooked. Ever since then I have been in love with photography. I recently retired from nearly 3 decades as a lawyer and now love having the extra time to spend on my photography. I recently formed a photography company - Kay Kochenderfer Photography Inc. My motto is "Photography Feeds My Soul."
