I was born in Latvia. Came to United States in 2002, settling in Georgia near Atlanta. I have been painting and making tapestries since 1992. I studied in Art College in Rezekne, Latvia (textile design department), Art College of Reykjavik, Iceland (interior and exterior design department), Branch of Latgale - Art Academy of Latvia. I earned BA in Art History from University in Daugavpils, Latvia. My first exhibition was held in 1994 in Aalen (Germany), together with my father Janis Unda (1928-2000), a famous Latvian watercolor artist and other artists from Latvia. My artworks can be found in private and museum collections in Spain, Germany, France, Denmark, Austria, Poland, USA, Italy, Iceland, England, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Switzerland.

Paintings is something I must do and it's a major part of my life!
