Multi-media artist Indu Varma has lived in Sackville, New Brunswick since 1969. Following a successful teaching career of 37 years she obtained a Bachelor of visual arts degree from Université de Moncton (UdeM) in 2016. Her artworks in ceramics, printmaking and painting aim to inspire the viewers. Having grown up in India, a land of vibrant clothes and colorful festivals, her work is characterized by bold colors, striking images and a mix of figurative and abstract elements.
