Le Galeriste values your privacy and security of personal information. We have provided a secure environment and this rigorous Policy that describes the limited ways the information is used and the limited access to such information.

This Policy covers the management of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) and other information gathered by Le Galeriste when you are using or accessing the Website. This Policy also covers Le Galeriste’s treatment of any Personal Information that Le Galeriste may share with its affiliates or other third parties under very limited circumstances.

This Policy does not apply to the general practices and treatment of information by third parties that Le Galeriste does not own or control, including but not limited to any third party websites or services that you choose to access through the Website or via a link from the Website (“Third Party Website”), or to individuals that Le Galeriste does not employ. Le Galeriste uses only industry’s best practices (physical, electronic, and procedural) in keeping any data collected (including Personal Information) secure. Where you are making a purchase on the Website, all transaction data, including credit card information, is transferred by encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”), the standard for internet transactions.

Le Galeriste automatically collects certain information using Google Analytics, a third-party analytics program, to help us improve the Website, but none of this information identifies you personally. Le Galeriste reserves the right to use additional analytical or statistical programs or services in the future. Le Galeriste uses certain third party services in order to improve the Website. Le Galeriste uses MailChimp to manage our mailing list and send out emails. Personal Information is transferred to MailChimp in order for the mailing list to function properly. Your Personal Information is only used for the proper sending out of email; MailChimp does not use this Personal Information for any other purpose, and will not transfer or sell your Personal Information to any other third party. You may unsubscribe from Le Galeriste’s mailing list at any time, by following the link at the bottom of all Le Galeriste emails.

Le Galeriste provides PayPal as a method of secured payments for purchases made on the Website. You may use your credit card directly on the Website, in which case Personal Information is transferred securely to Paypal.

By making a purchase on the Website, you authorize Le Galeriste to use Paypal and transfer Personal Information to them, but only to the extent needed to complete the transaction. No credit card information is ever stored on servers controlled by Le Galeriste. PayPal have our permission to store, on behalf of Le Galeriste, the data pertaining to the executed transactions by Clients of the Website (including credit card information) with the goal of ensuring a secure method of payment and proof of purchase archive, allowing for the protection of Le Galeriste Clients, and for follow-up as needed. This transactional data may be used for validation and registration purposes of Le Galeriste Clients, and to trace any fraudulent activities if necessary.

When a Client makes a purchase and uses Paypal, the Client is covered by the payment processor’s privacy policy.

You may create an account by entering your email address and choosing a password. It’s your responsibility to create a password of sufficient length and complexity and to keep it secure, in order to ensure the security of your Personal Information that can be accessed as a Logged-in User. Logged-in Users may provide addresses for billing and delivery purposes. Clients must provide billing and delivery addresses in order to make a purchase. These addresses will be stored by Le Galeriste but will only be used for billing and delivery purposes on future purchases. A Logged-in User may permanently delete these stored addresses on their account page.

If you wish to cancel your account and have all your Personal Information permanently deleted from our records, follow these quick and easy steps:

- Access your Portal and click on the avatar-looking icon at the top right of the page
- Select the option “Account details”
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Delete my Account (Products, Artworks, Storefront)”.

If you are accessing the Website from the European Economic Area (the “EEA”, which includes all EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) you are covered by Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (the “Data Protection Directive”). If you are a Logged-in User or Client you acknowledge and accept that your Personal Information is being transferred to countries outside the EEA.
