Kristin Stashenko

After attending Mass College of Art and Design I worked in free-lance illustration for years, producing hundreds of card designs and stationary products. Several years ago I wanted to move more towards fine art and to that end acquired a studio and explored my own inclinations. I am attracted to color and light and playing with the interplay of these in my paintings. My paintings are in acrylic or gouache, an opaque watercolor. I explore new color relationships not necessarily what I see. I am represented by The Blue Heron Gallery in Wellfleet, MA and exhibit frequently in International Shows. I am an artist member of the Copley Society of Arts, and a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, The New England Watercolor Society and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society.
