Alexis D’Angelo Sclama spent her early years in upstate New York, and enjoyed her carefree summers on Seneca Lake in Lodi, New York. It is those early memories that inspire her artistic designs today. After living in Rome, Italy, and traveling through other countries in Europe and Asia with her husband and children, she began to see landscapes as paintings. As a self-taught painter, it wasn’t until many years later, after raising three children, that she picked up a paintbrush and bought her first blank canvas. Her energetic personality is portrayed in her stylized approach and whimsical brush strokes. Alexis lives with her husband in Bethany Beach, Delaware and her artistic designs are inspired by the broad colorful skies and sandy beaches surrounding her.
